Hi guys,
I have owned ScreenConnectfor about 8 months now and running it on ThrustVPS on their $6 per month plan. I am experiencing some slowness issues with clients where their screens will take forever to refresh, and sometimes halfway refresh with blocks of the old screen and blocks of the new screen. I change the Quality settings to medium and sometimes low, but this doesn't always help.
I am wondering if I should just build a small server to keep here at my house to run the software off of. I recently upgraded my internet connection to a 30 MB cable connection which should be enough.
In the thrust VPS control panel, it shows that I am only using about 25% of my bandwidth. CPU and RAM look good (this is a linux server btw). Just wondering what your thoughts are. I don't think it's a screenconnect problem, but more an external problem. Most all of my clients that I connect to are on a DSL connection, so I don't think it is on their end either.
Should I just abandon the virtual private server route and have one at my house?
Thanks!
