Here's beta 3 of the checklist; I intend for this to be the last as long as there are no problems with this release. It contains most of the tools needed for the tuneup, and FYI you may get a security warning from excel because of harmless macros. Enjoy:

Wow, that list is very nice. Great job on making such a professional looking check list. Interesting idea of integrating the apps into the sheet so that you can just double click and run.

I clicked on your link and got:

"Invalid or Deleted File
The key you provided for file download was invalid. This is usually caused because the file is no longer stored on Mediafire. This occurs when the file is removed by the originating user or Mediafire. "

If you click on it you get the error but right click and 'save as' is ok

edit. downloaded ok but cannot unzip it.

This is one EXCELLENT package!

Hope you don't mind me using this in the shop alongside the other programs I use.

:)

You can do whatever you like, but please don't post it any where else than technibble

I promise to NEVER post it anywhere, not even a re-post here. I will only be using it in my shop.

I would like to Thank You again for the list it will be very helpful.

Thanks for sharing. It shows a lot of thought.

I'm curious how you use it - USB key or transfer to computer. What do tou do when the computer doen't have Excel?

Have you considered using the export as a customer document? You could delete columns C & D - add name and date and even put some istructions, marketing info etc at the bottom. It's been a thousand years since I wrote macros for excel, but I don't think it would be a huge job.

Again, thanks!

might I ask what you charge for this tuneup?

I very rarely do a tuneup on it's own; it's nearly always coupled with a virus removal. I think it's costs something like £15 or £20 on top of the virus removal

Some computers have excel on them, if not then I usually open it on the laptop I have next to me at work. I might make a .txt version for use on all computers

I might look into doing something like this (depending on how easy it is :))

I was thinking of doing something just like this yesterday, I like the way you have links to all the programs and sites, although im using OpenOffice (who needs a full commercial licence of Office?) which meant the macros didnt work, which isnt a big problem to be honest.

Thanks again...just so you know I havent ripped it but im going to use it as a guide for mine.

What do you guys think about a standalone executable for this great tuneup list?
