I'm all for trying but for this to work you'd have to keep a few things in mind.
1.) How would your clients adopt this concept and would they take you seriously?
2.) Is there a minimum amount that you'd expect? If so would you be willing to accept the fact that's all that 95% of people will be paying.
3.) How would you market this type of system? Your site or URL don't really push the concept?
4.) How would you be able to budget and manage income when you have no clue how much money will be coming in?
5.) What's the catch? Many of your clients will be wondering this?
I can go on and on and on. My point is that for this to work you have to work everything out from the ground up and come up with some sort of system that will make you profit. If your not making profit your... I don't know what you'd be doing. I personally don't think this would work, but I believe that when there's a will there's a way so I hope you can prove me wrong
Hi Rex,
You are exactly right and these things are being mulled around.
First this isn't my retail site so it is not going to be the main source of income, it is actually as my blog introduction stated (getting ready to move that worded and typed out in a more elegant way the about us page).
As for income, I do think that most people are inherently good, given the correct social backing I think this will work, not only locally but nationally. There are a lot of people that walk into the store that simply cannot afford services that we often do for a discount and in some instances free of charge with the promise they will send friends our way and it usually works pretty well. I have been toying with the idea of attaining financial backers as in larger companies that either provide services for free or help finance aspects of the services in return for advertising or whatever can be agreed on...
As for minimum no minimum, there will be a great number that pay nothing, there will also be some that pay more, I think it will equal out, there again my belief that people are inherently good
It may not work at all, may not even get one customer on it, may end up giving out a lot of free services...if that is the case then it will turn into a good will aspect of the principal company and a qualification system will be put into place...
Putting together a news letter, some press releases, social media and a couple landing pages that will help with the marketing of the concept aspect of things
I think I have it all considered or at least most of it
