What does it matter? Far greater things to worry about IMHO.
When I'd thought of a name for my business I discovered that the .com version was registered and in use in the USA, which didn't bother me in the slightest because being in the UK, we tend to go for .co.uk anyway. As it happens, the .co.uk version was also registered, but to a company more than 200 miles south of me so I reckoned that that wouldn't matter either, so I registered the .org.uk version.
I've since found out that the company using .co.uk have now ceased trading so the guy is willing to transfer it to me as long as I pay the transfer costs, which is fine by me
