Multiple USB drives showing in my computer

Hi, I've run across this repeatedly. I open "my computer" in a clients PC and find multiple usb drives listed, all lettered, you try to open them you get not connected error because they are not really there.

Are you sure they're not memory card slots? They might show up as usb because that's what they use.

yep usually each slot gets its own drive letter

Even if the machine does not have a card reader directly installed in the box....the owner may have it hooked up to a printer that has a card reader built in at home.
