MSN Messenger virus

Hi, can anyone help.
My contacts are getting messages via my messenger ( Links to some websites )
i scanned my computer with Spybot, AVG, NOD32 and Spyware Terminator but can't find any, can someone help me with This problem?

Have a look @ the "Repair Tool of the Week" thread, and you'll find a MSN Messenger Virus Removal program. I hope this is of some help to you.

And find yourself another client, MSN Messnger/Windows Live Messenger, whatever you wanna call it, blows. Get somethin' better like Mirinda or Pidgin, or even just go to meebo.com

it's probably not your pc. Your password probably got hacked. Change your messenger password, and all should be well.

i still see this every so often i would have thought people would learn not to click the file that sais "lol we were so trashed that night" or w/e they send. if the vrisu removal program dosnt work (new msn virus's get writen all the time) usualy a re-install of messenger will do the trick. also seconded what methical said, something like Amsn or pidgin would probably be a better option

Yeah I get messages from my mate all the time. Hes not online in my contact list, but I get a message like:

"Hey, check me out last weekend http://imgbucket.net/%username%"

Where %username% is my mates email.

I told him to run MBAM, and then run the MSN Virus Removal program, as well as changing clients. Voila!

ive switched to Amsn for this reason and also because its not 60mg to download and dosnt take up craploads of RAM

It is not only happens for you, It happened for me too. I used to get lots from other friends messengers also. When I contact them through it it goes to some one else. I too tried all the branded anti virus package but couldn't stop those non sense happening. But now I am out this troubles because I am using the package called mycuredcomputer.com. It is providing the best security for my system as well as they provide all sorts of computer services. So I go there when I have some problem in my system, they clear it for me.

I had the same problem last week with a customer who was having MSN Messenger problems. I used MSN Messanger Virus Remover and they are happy now.
