Malwarebytes now has a beta out for ransomware protection, looks promising.

Looks cool, but careful if you use LabTech. According to the comments it removes the LabTech service.

In a reddit thread a MBAM rep said they had intentionally made it VERY aggressive as it is in beta and they need to dial everything in just right.

I think I'll wait for this to be out of beta. I've been using Bitdefender AntiCryptoWall, it's lightweight and doesn't seem to bother any programs.

CryptoPrevent ftw

We picked up a white label copy of CryptoPrevent when it first came out and not a computer leaves our shop without it. So far, so good (knock on wood)

Unfortunately, there doesn't appear to be any of the typical free anti virus softwares out there yet that has this added security. That being said I am going to take the above suggestion and try out CryptoPrevent. We always send every system out of the shop with an active antivirus, but this Crypto Ransom is really causing issues!

With all the gazillion useless updates M$ does why don’t they have a Crypto prevent one
