Macbook a1278 unibody - no power after dissasembly (Solved)

High guys,

Would appreciate any input from the "mac guys" One of our technicians disassembled this unit to get to the headphone jack (to remove a broken head phone jack inside) After completion and reassembly (broken jack is out), now unit will not power on, checked the usual (ram/connections/etc.) wondering if there is anything obvious we need to do to get this guy back up and running. (don't usually deal with mac's)

btw - getting power as per magsafe as well as voltage coming in from battery. Just nothing responding when power button is pressed.

How did you do that? I have a Powerbook with the same issue, took apart to replace CDROM drive, now won't power on :-(

Powerbooks didn't have SMC. It would be a PMU reset. But your problem is more than likely you didn't properly connect the top case ribbon cable to the logic board.
