Mac shuts down every night since moving offices?

Client calls saying every morning she comes in the Mac has been turned off. If she leaves for an extended period of time during the day, the Mac will be off when she returns. This has only started happening since they moved offices a few days ago. I had her turn off all the sleep stuff in the Sys Pref > Energy Saver except the monitor is set to turn off after an hour.

There is no indication that power to the building is being lost. There is no indication that someone is shutting it off at night. There is no indication that updates are being installed and causing a restart.

I'm going to have her slide the bar to keep the monitor on indefinitely to see if it's actually the computer or just the monitor. She may be incapable of understanding the difference.

I'm confused ... anything else to check here?

What do the logs say? Have her make a note of time she turns it on. You go to that and then start looking back in time for clues. Another thing I'd want to check is power. GFI checker, etc.

After trying to get the answers out of her and trying be as thorough as possible in my questioning like ... is there any indication this is a power issue like is it possible the building or that outlet is losing power and her telling me no and no over again she determined that her computer was plugged into an outlet controlled by a power switch.

Reminds me of a tech support story that's been around for years.

EU calls OEM because his computer won't turn on. Support tech tells the customer to go under the desk to see if everything is plugged in correctly. Customer comes back with I can't tell, we don't have any lights.
