This seemed like a good place to put this, if not, mods feel free to move it.

Many yrs back I found some keyboards that had the look and feel of laptop keyboards. I loved that thing, and I haven't been able to find any more of them. The 1 I had didnt last very long, dumped a coke on it.. I dont recall the brand..

Does anyone know where I can pick a few of them up? Not looking for wireless, looking for the wired "flavor"..

I've been using a single keyboard for my desktops, my server and for customer's machines. I love the keyboard, but it's wore out. I've been holding off buying any because I cant find the one I want.. The one I'm using is really nice, it was really expensive too. I just cant stand that long stroke. I hate using 1 keyboard for everything, needing to use the bluetooth dongle back and forth and all..

Back when I was running a hardware review site I reviewed an illuminated keyboard that was like a notebook keyboard by a company called Auravision. Its a great keyboard, I still use it today on my MCE.

Heres the link to my review I did.

I think the company is gone today. The keyboards where hella expensive. About $100 bucks. Its hard to sell a keyboard for that much but i remember that was the only bad part of the review. The keyboard kicked @ss.

Not sure where you could find one today. I would not let go of mine. :D

Thanks for the links, I appreciate it..

I was thinking about a iluminated keyboard this time around, but figured there would be nothing with the notebook feel, that was lighted... Your links guided me to Amazon after a bit of clicking.. For some odd reason, I never think about sites like Amazon when I'm looking for something.

I came across this one.. http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Illu...lighting/dp/B001F51G16/ref=dp_cp_ob_e_title_0

It's a little on the expensive side, but I think I'll try one and see if I like it. I hate the thought of buying several of them, but I've gotten to the point that if I have to do any typing I do it on a laptop..

I took my expensive keyboard apart last night and tossed it in the dishwasher. Feels much better, but the keys still stick. I'll keep it around just because it has some really nice features, but I'm using it right now and I'm about ready to swap over to one of the laptops..

I'm going to see if I can find some mice that I like, once I do I'll order one of those keyboards and give a quick review.

Well I got it in tonight, haven't had a lot of time to type on it, but I must say, I love it. The key stroke isnt as short as a notebook, but it's not bad. It's heavy too, I like that. I'm sure it's just like Logitech's joysticks, they add metal weights to the product to add weight ( I have a X52 stick for flight sims, thats also a great product ), but it feels sturdy. Shake it around and nothing rattles.. It's built very well.

In the reviews on Amazon they talked about the "F" key not lighting up correctly, mine works fine. So they may have fixed that.

So it's safe to say that I'll be ordering more of them. I'll try this one for a few days so I can get used to it and know for sure if I like it or not, but right now I'm loving it.

I picked up a few trackballs too, been a while since I've used one, but I've always liked them. The laser mouse that I use all the time has like 8 buttons on it, that makes it really nice. The only trackball I could find that had multiple buttons was from Microsoft, and they ranged from 4-600 bucks, they can keep those LOL..
