I've had a few of these dropped off - after an update, Windows 10 won't boot past the blue screen with the dotted circle (btw do we actually have names for these screens, or do we just have to always describe them visually?). Got one today and started to work on it. It's Sunday, brain not working well, so I did a bunch of troubleshooting, ran diagnostics, tried system restore, start up repair - all no luck. Then I noticed the Logitech wireless mouse dongle, said "duh", pulled it, and Windows booted right up.
I've since done some searching on the web, seen plenty of people with the problem, but nobody with a solution beyond simply pulling the dongle if Windows gets stuck. Of course, I can just tell the client that if it happens again to try pulling the dongle before calling me. But I'd prefer to actually find a solution so 1. it doesn't happen again, and 2. she continues to think I am a genius who does magic, not someone who just knows to pull a dongle.
So I'm throwing it out here - anybody here seen this issue and found an actual solution?
Thanks!
