Avast does have remote support built in if you choose to try it. I personally haven't but I've heard some positive feedback on it. Just a thought. I am now checking out Centra Stage which looks good for MSP work and remote desktop support.
 
Just tried Ammyy and unless I am missing something or the paid version has stuff the trial doesnt, then it does NOT allow you to blank out the client's screen. And it does not maintain connection through reboots....
 
I believe you're right about the former. Install and start the Ammyy service so you can connect without user intervention after reboots.

You can't. SC is not web-hosted, it's software that has to run on an OS. You can do it cloud-based using something Amazon (which I'm using their one-year free tier (which still costs me about $.26/month). Prior to this, though, I was just running it on my main PC with ports forwarded on my router. Piece of cake.

Yeah that was an option, but upon reboot it still didnt autoconnect me. Maybe because the pc I tested on had multiple user accounts and it wouldnt auto log in.
 
We are just starting to offer Remote Support and are currently trialling Techinline with good results.

They offer a pay as you go or subscription service but also there is no software for the Client to install.

As we are hoping to attract one off calls for repairs and servicing as well as contract work, we want a tool that any one can connect with the minimum of fuss.

Some of the people we deal with could not be relied upon to install anything ;)
