List of motherboard batteries

Im looking at getting in a stock of motherboard batteries and was just wondering if anybody can give me a few battery models which would be handy to have

the only one i know of as yet is the cr2032.

That should do it. Just by a dozen at most, the days when computers lasted longer than their CMOS batteries have long gone.

so i assume by that then that the cr2032 is pretty much standard these days.

yep, unless you're dealing with some laptop mobos that have their packs. Havn't come across one in a while, but keep in mind. Honestly, most of today's computers will die before their cmos batteries (what was the mark, 8-10yrs?)... as said above.

I can count the number of times I've needed to replace a cmos battery, and I wouldn't use all my fingers and toes. My opinion, if you want to carry around one or two batteries that's fine. I wouldn't get more than 2 though. You may find that they'll collect an inch of dust before needing them.

I carry around a couple in my bag. I have replaced probably 3 in the past 1.5 years. Aside from laptops the only one I have seen is cr2032. They also come in handy around the house.
