Hi Guys.
I've got a Lenovo V145-15AST laptop in.

Powers up ok, but it has a black screen.
Nothing on the screen whatsoever.
No Bios or "Lenovo" boot display signs.

Just outside warranty :(
1 year old.

I've come across similar before, and the recommended procedure is to pull the battery, drain the circuitry and try to boot again.
Doesn't work.

I've tried the following.
I've held the power button down for a minute
I've pulled battery a few times (required taking the cover off).
Unplugged the CMOS battery and left it for a couple of hours.

It looks like its completely bricked.

Only thing I can think of, is to force an BIOS flash, but its not recognising any external drives.

Any suggestions ?

Sorry.
Yep.... Tis fixed
The key combination fixed it.

Must have spent several days on-and-off trying to resolve it.

I didn't charge a lot for the "repair",..... but i got a recurring Managed Service contract out of it.

Managed Services is about 90% of my biz now.
Welcome to my world.

PS. Hugs to frase.

Nice setup mate :)

AND fast forward to Jan 2024.
Different Lenovo, same problem.
However the key combo isn't fixing it.
Tried driver updates plus full amd adrenaline install.

Nope.
Trying to delete these drivers, and run with the default "emergency" driver. Just to get the screen working.

I can see the desktop OK via remote, but not the owner.
Sodding amd.

Long live nvidia.
