Laptop to TV

Never did it before for any clients nor for myself, but I guess you could always use RCA / VGA to Scart cable.

Please someone do correct me if I'm wrong. I think it won't look that bad if the laptop has a good graphics card, and since a tv has a lower resolution than a laptop. Can someone get into some more detail about this please?

Thanks.

It will look really bad. It doesn't matter what graphics card the system has, the resolution of the television is low and not designed for use with a modern computer. It's only going to be good enough for things like video or a large presentation, maybe gaming. I speak from years of experience and various different adapters, video cards, etc.
The only way to have a good picture from a laptop to a television is to use a tv that has a pc resolution and has a pc input.

1st find out if your laptop video card supports tv on vga, then all youll need is a cable no adapter, but as 14???? said its very crappy, although i use it to diag and trouble shoot desktops when i dont have a minitor around, its also great to test if the monitor is bad without having to take a monitor with, i have a vga to tv adapter that works pretty good on 120 dpi, and i have a usb video capture device so i get to see the desktop ooutput on my laptop.
