I have about 10 users scanning fine to their Individual computers. One computer refuses to let the scanner scan to it.

Tried deleting and recreating the share. I can access the share from other computers. But the Minolta just gives a server error when I try to scan to it.

Any ideas?

Any chance the computer in question recently upgraded to Windows 10 build 1709? MS dropped support for SMBv1 with this build and it has broken network scanning for several clients of mine, especially with older devices that no longer receive firmware updates.

You can enable it again via "Turn Windows features on or off" but ideally you want to update your devices to use SMBv2 or SMBv3. I imagine in a future build they will remove SMBv1 entirely.

Yes, but all the other computers are updated as well.

If you want to find out what the actual problem is, you might consider breaking out Wireshark on that machine and seeing what's actually happening.

If the concern is just "get the user scanning ASAP," you might also consider installing Filezilla Server, setting up an FTP account writing to the appropriate directory, and just doing the file transfer from the copier that way.

A/V, firewall

Could be a username and password error if there is no domain and the printer is accessing the share by a local username on each computer.. I'll check the local user account is not disabled and not set to force a password change and is without password expiry then double check the credentials that the scanner is using to save to the share

Do yourself a favor, stop scanning to SMB entirely. Those are linux based printers, the samba service simply doesn't always have the ability to communicate properly. All of my Konica's scan to SMTP, and even that requires the printer to be hard reset sometimes.

I will no longer support office MOPIERs scanning to anything other than SMTP or FTP.

If the client has Office 365 all you need to do is put their WAN IP into their SPF record, and tell the scanner to scan to the MX record name over unauthenticated SMTP. Problem solved... forever.

^^^^ . This. Back in the XP days there were few problems with SMB, even with OS X. Lately I've had too many problems with mismatches on how devices are handling SMB so I just do ftp or email.

Scan to email as above, put their email addresses into the address book and good to go
