WD Blue SSD have SanDisk X400 guts.
The X400 was SanDisks flagship model

The WD Green uses a lesser grade SanDisk guts.

What controller are the WD Blues? I've used a couple of the SanDisks in the past but steered away from them after having issues with them not waking up out of sleep mode. Wasn't as bad as the old Sandforce disks that would straight up die if you put the system to sleep, but was still annoying enough to not use them any more.

They're not included in the AceLabs list of SSD drives that do use Sandforce controllers, but that doesn't guarantee they don't.
