Internet Explorer won't open

Other internet functions are working. When I click on IE, it opens a minimized window for a few seconds then closes. I ran malwarebytes and superantispyware to clean the malware and it still does the same thing! Anyone know what I can try next? No recent hardware or software changes! Also deleted ie8 and reinstalled it........no change

Running a couple of scanners is not the same thing as diagnosing a system. Rather than starting 3 threads with your trouble machines and hoping for the masses to solve them, what else have you or your husband done to troubleshoot?
