I have a client that will only use Internet Explorer 11, in Windows 10

He has his login password saved for Hotmail and does not want this
I have gone thru all the options to delete passwords in options/content and every time it logs into Hotmail without asking for a password no matter what I do.

Internet Explorer 11 it not for Windows10 you will not find a link to launch it and it is very unstable
the only way you can do it is going to Program Files and make a shortcut from its directory.
The only reason its there is because it has always being married to Windows core.

I reset Internet Explorer 11 to defaults and it made all the photos in pictures folder go to shortcuts and could not be opened with registry errors
luckily I made a system restore point just before doing this.

I did not look into accessories just went to 64-bit program directory made a shortcut
the problem was as stated above he did not want to auto-login to his Hotmail account
and there was no way of stopping it so I did a reset and it broke all the links to the pictures when I clicked on a picture I got a registry error immediately after the IE reset, I made a complete backup before I started and system restore
He won't use any other browsers and is very difficult to deal with I guess that's because he is a Billionaire in the top ten richest people in Canada
He has over 400 hundred person IT department that spends all day remoting into his computer at home, but he always gets me to do things they can never do,
They could not make a browser default in Win 10 and I showed him how it was done he took pictures of every screen to show his IT guys.

Can anybody suggest another browser that is secure he won't use Chrome, Edge or Firefox
When he used Firefox before he would only use version 1 that always gave errors

You should edit your post and remove what I assume is his password. Based on your description of who he is, a unscrupulous individual could use that information in a malicious way.

I only use Edge to download Chrome.

If I have a flash drive or are at the shop I just run my ninite chrome installer. No need to open edge! But elsewhere I will go into edge to get Chrome.

If he were my customer I would talk him into Chrome or Firefox. Maybe even Opera. But I prefer Chrome so I pretty much get everyone using Chrome + uBlock Origin.

Sounds pretty odd breaking pictures by resetting IE? I don't think I've ever had anything break when doing a reset from inetcpl.cpl.

Windows 10 has a smart start menu. You just hit the windows key and start typing and you can find the program. I wouldn't have a clue what menu any of the programs are in. Once it shows up in the search you right click and put it on the desktop, taskbar, or the top of the start menu.

Yeah why are you even looking? Type iexplore into the search box, it pops up, you right click and pin to taskbar.

That said, Internet Explorer is no longer a supported browser, use of that browser is considered extremely dangerous, and if the client is handling any sort of sensitive information might even be a violation of law. SO.... careful... there be dragons here.

If he will not accept Chrome, Edge, or Firefox, I think I'd just tell him then the Internet is no longer accessible to him until he gains a realistic set of expectations.

Is he logging into Windows with an MS account? Try changing it to local.

creative technician would simply put a shortcut to Edge on the desktop, import his favourites and then tell him that it's the latest version of Internet Explorer.
I've done this in the past with Chrome, FF and Opera. You change the desktop Icon to IE's and they seem none the wiser.;)
