I am needing to install a new Barracuda hard drive by Seagate. My question is: the old hard drive in the computer was a Barracuda 7200.12. However, Microcenter has the Barracuda 7200.9. I want to install the 7200.9 so as to get this computer up and running ASAP. Does it make a difference that the old hard drive was a 7200.12 and that I want to install a 7200.9? Thanks.

As longs as the thinner one fits ok in the caddy then there is no issue.
