Index mapped NAS drive

My client has a WD MyCloud NAS drive mapped to all Windows 7 office desktops via a gigabit switch. They are using the Windows Search feature a lot to find documents by an account number but its very slow. In Windows 8/10 it seems you can add a mapped drive to your documents library and that will index it, does anyone have a solution for Windows 7?

Yep that's the best solution I have found so far, I'm going to test next week and will report back.
