I want to import an O-E mailbox into Vista mail. The .wab folder has many cate-gories, such as Classmates, Family, Business, Friends, etc. No matter what I try, including the Express Assist program, all contacts wind up in the same common area.

How do you guys handle this transfer. If it takes buying a program that OK.

Tried that several times. Doing it that way imports whatever is located in the main identity. It does not import addresses that are in separate groupings.

Express Assist will import all the addresses it finds, but dumps them all into a common area.

I need to keep the structure of the original address box. I'm attaching a small pic of what I'm talking about.

Might be an easier way, but I would export each section to its own .wab file. Then import one, make a folder in Vista mail. Move the imported addresses to the new folder and import the next set and so on.

Hi, I tried exporting each section, but that does not work. It still exports the entire address book.

I was looking for an elegant way, but haven't seen anything yet.

Case in point. One of my customer's has dozens of catagories (and dozen's of entries) in his addy bk. He's out on the road, with his business venture, so it is imporant to keep every company's email contacts separate.

I guess drag and drop will have to do. Well, that's all for now.
