After logo'ing our new service vehicle and sign with our new logo... I realize that it looks a whole lot better (more professional) with a color change. Rather than the 'pro' be in blue, looks better in white like rest of words.
Please CC and tell me what you think?
Thanks!

You make a point of calling yourself a "pro" and then highlight it with the "pro" in blue. Makes more sense to be that way than in white.

You change colours to either differentiate something or highlight something.

IMHO As you have a slogan and then your name the slogan and name should be in different colours.

Slogan

Customers usually love the slogan but I see your point. I don't know if it would actually 'cost' us clients though. Most laugh when they see it.

Do either of these seem better?

Don't call a geek... Call a pro!
Why call a geek... Call a pro!

I like "Don't call a geek, Call a pro!"

Im not a fan of the slogan. It kind of implies that you should try the geek first and if he cant do it, call you.

Blue is better and I do not think that a customer would actually read the slogan and go "Ah, Ok. Lets go to geek squad first and then go to a pro after they screw something up"

Thats kind of what we thought. I can see what Bryce is talking about as I have heard that from a few people. But as a whole I think the positives outweigh the negatives with it. Most people laugh and mention it which means basically its doing its job.

Colors are very dependent on lighting. If this is viewed at night, the blue will probably look like gray. If the sign or poster is exposed to sunlight, the blue will fade much more than the white. If the sign is on a well-lit store front, it will look fine.

Don't sweat the small stuff as you will have to replace the thing in 3 years anyway. We keep updating our stuff all the time.

I find it od that you sweat the look so much but apparently give little thought to the slogan. I think your slogan is a waste of space and it says nothing other than that you think you are a pro. It might even come across a bit condescending.

Your look it nice with or without the color PRO.

That is fine but wouldn't it be better to say something like your place or ours; satisfaction guaranteed; no job too small; big enough to be professional small enough to care.....

You are missing the opportunity to really say who you are and how you are different.

Just my opinion.

Good luck.

...Feels funny to walk thru best buy with logo'd shirts on lol.

^^ Love this! LOL

I agree, blue pro looks better. Slogan needs work, but I've found that slogans tend to evolve until you find that one magical combination of words that just pops.

Take this mechanic's shop in my area... Fred's Transmission & Clutch. "If your tranny's dead, Just call Fred!" Between their slogan and their advertising I can't get it out of my head. I've never needed a transmission technician, but if I ever do, they'll be the first one I think of because that slogan just sticks with ya.
