HP ENVY h8-1455 takes multiple boots to post avg a dozen or so.
replaced power supply, swapped out ram all peripherals unplugged from motherboard.

I suspect either motherboard or bios issue has anyone ran into one of these?.

Also tried another really high end power supply same issue.

Will work fine for a few days then not boot again.

I just ran into an issue with one of my clients during the holidays that had a similar issue with one of these laptops. It's probably the motherboard. Pay careful attention to the caps lock key and see if it blinks at all during the boot process. The one I was working on didn't blink all the time but I did manage to catch it blinking (I think 5 times) during the boot process sometimes. To get my client through the end of the year (business client) I disabled all boot items in the bios and she limped along until we got her an identical laptop and swapped the drive over to the replacement laptop, due to her have a lot of proprietary software that she couldn't readily reinstall at the time.

When you say multiple boots to post you mean you turn it on and fans spin but nothing ever comes on the screen and probably no beeps right?

As long as you've removed any additional video card it has assuming it also has onboard video and still having the issue then yes i'd go with motherboard.

Fans spin up?
Any signs of power?
Lights on, etc.?
Or is it completely dead?
If it's dead, jump the power switch.

Fans spin
Lights are on
Jumped power switch same deal
Also swapped cmos battery and cleared bios.
Think one of the caps are dried out/bad causing a short.
motherboard has no video tried swapping to known working test video card as well.
After looking a quite a few posts about this model they all seem to have issue.
