I've replaced a lot of powerjacks on laptops. But after disassembling this netbook (hp 210-3070nr), I get to a point where the jack seems to be made into the side of the laptop skeleton frame. I've googled for a video on how to take this out, but have not found one. Does anybody have a video of how to get the hp 210-3070nr power jack out of the netbook frame? or any (helpful) advice. I should have take photos when I had it apart, but didn't. This machine is a little headache all of it's own design. I suppose if I get too tired of dealing with it, I could send it to hp, or a tech that specializes in jack repair on netbooks.

Are you saying it appears to be sort of welded or glued into the frame or something else ? Some HP laptops have DC jacks that in older versions (1000, 2000) were removable but in later versions (3000, 4000) are spot welded or riveted in place. I think we have a thread here somewhere of someone who had that experience and I have seen it myself. Its almost like HP decided to switch from screwing it in to just making it part of the base by using welds or plastic rivets.

Thanks Guys.

I feel so dumb now, that's a very easy repair, and I completely didn't see the tiny latches. Exactly what I needed. LOL. Did you ever have one of those d'oh moments?
