How warm do you folks heat your house to?

For those of you in the Southern Hemisphere where it's now hot... what temperature do you cool to?

Gets up to 45~46 here sometimes, but mainly hovers around the 37~40 through summer.
21~23 deg is just comfortable. :)

We can save on gas/electricity through summer by laying a sheet of steel on a table outside. By lunch time you can cook sausages/steaks/eggs/onions etc.
If you have a dark coloured car and an adventurous nature you can just cook dinner on the roof of the car! Nom nom nom....

Heating is set to 20C (68F) - and woe-betide anyone who meddles with it!
20 C would probably suit me better but I think my OH would have it at 40 C if I let her, so compromise a little.

She'll happily sit by a heater in temperatures that would make me melt ... I think she must be part Lizard.

Thermostat is set for 21C in winter and 25C in summer. Luckily, we live is a temperate area; summers might get to 35C max in summer but down to -35C in winter.

Edit to add: During the winter, the thermostat is set for 17C for 11:30 pm - 6:30 am. and in the summer, 25C during that time.

I ask because my internal thermometer has changed. I used to heat to 23. This year I am down to heating to only about 19 at night 20 in the day.

Is it crazy I like getting into a cold bed and being under warm bedding? It's programmable, so I heat to 20 about 15 minutes before I get out of bed.

In the living areas 73° (23) during the day and 68° (20) at night (programmable thermostat). I have the typical 95%+ efficient natural gas furnace so heat bills are minor. I don't heat the bedrooms upstairs when daughter or guests aren't here. My cold record last year was 38° (3) in my bedroom - heehee. Currently in the low 50s in the morning up there. I like to sleep cold but keep the electric blanket (on a timer to preheat at night) turned up with an extra comforter/doona piled on. :D

Depends. If your thermostat replacement will cost you your house, children, child support, and job... I might leave it be.

Can I move in with one of you for the winter? For me it's 18 c during the day 16 at night.

I'm extremely cheap

Our thermostat varies - but the answer is always "wherever it needs to be so she isn't hot/cold." After 33 years of marriage, it's just not one of the things worth fighting over.

TIL that women's core temperature is warmer than mens and so, to feel comfortable, they prefer an higher ambient temperature.
