Ok so I bought this post card reader off of ebay like was suggested by another member here and I am not sure how to use it.
The instructions that came with it are in broken english and I am not sure what to do with this thing.

Here is the one that I bought. Here

Can someone please advise on how to use these things?

I have one, although not the same as the one you posted, it should work the same way.

You should have a booklet together with the card. Just plug in the card, boot up the beeping computer, and the diagnostic card should give you an error code. Look up the error code in the booklet and it should tell you what's likely to be the problem. Sometimes it's helpful, sometimes it's not that helpful. But at least if you're having problems with the RAM, it should state that it's the RAM. Then it's up to you to decide which module is the problem, or maybe if it's the motherboard.

Well it came with this book but the book says the error codes are like 2b, 21, 45, etc.

But this card reader reads 3 sets of codes i guess, and i will unplug it and redo it only to get a different but similar code. kind of confusing

This doesn't really answer your question, but in all honesty, I haven't found my POST card to be nearly as useful as I'd like. Perhaps a better way to put it would be that it's not as definitive as I'd like it to be.

Half the time I don't trust what it tells me, and I end up doing a manual troubleshooting process anyway. I bought the thing to save time. Which, in most cases, it doesn't really do.
