[SOLVED] How to Test RAM without a Computer

How can I test RAM w/o a computer? I have a DDR2 system, but not DDR1 + 3
or laptops with different SODIMMs.

I found online a device that will test all memory technologies, but it's
atrociously expensive

That's about all you can do if you don't have a compatible system. I would recommend looking for an old used system so you can take the mobo out. Hook up a cd Rom drive and run a boot cd. Check on Craigslist or equivalent for a cheap computer.

Or don't bother and just swap in new, good ram instead.

lol thats what I get for not reading your entire post, sorry for the duplicate. I have actually seen this and it does really work well but for what i would use its not worth the price for me

Flash cards are useful for testing memory if you don't have access to a computer.

As others have suggested, just keep extra ram on hand and swap them out, if it works then it works, if it does the same thing, then its another issue.

I used to sit around and wait on memtest to run, etc. Now I just swap and see
