I've got a few Win 10 PCs in the shop and they're all 10586.494. Would like to install the anniversary update on at least one of them to get some experience, but nothing's available when I check for updates.

I've used the Win 10 Media Creator updater in the past to get the most current version, but it doesn't appear to contain the anniversary update.

If you're running the anniversary update, how did you get it? Using "check for updates" (which doesn't work for me), or some other technique?

You need a new copy of the media creator tool. See @Porthos post above.

I'm upgrading every Windows 10 system that comes in as a matter of course right now. Since Microsoft is going to shove it down the client's throats whether they want it or not, I figure I might as well take the bull by the horns, make sure it works right, and alert the client that things are going to look a little different.

Haven't had any problems with it yet . . .

We have 4 computers in the office, 2 have updated through windows update with no problems. The other two don't even show the update as available yet. I know they said they were rolling the update to different people at different times. As others have stated though, the newest media creation tool contains the newest version which you can use to force the upgrade. No problems with the update yet.
