We haven't taken the plunge yet!

We're MS Partners but I honestly can't figure out how to get set up as a 365 reseller. I've yet to find anything on the MS websites that's just straightforward.

Man I've been round the houses with this too. It's ridiculous! Every other server you resell - they make it obvious what to do and want to help you get started. There are tons of posts on forums asking just how even do it for MS.

You don't really resell Microsoft 365, it's more of a partner/referral system. The clients pay Microsoft themselves and you get a referral kickback. Search around using the term "Microsoft Cloud Partner"

You can resell Appriver's Office 365 services, but that is not through Microsoft.

Believe me, we've done that and more.

Either my account is somehow caught in a loop or I'm missing something. Been through the enrollment process, got the 3 steps with green ticks and then nothing.

Do you have to pay for competencies or buy the action pack or something in order to be able to do it through MS?

Hi Colm,

I'll send you a PM tomorrow. I have a contact at Microsoft (met with her last week), who's job it is to setup 365 partners as managed partners. She has a lot of material, webinars etc. She'll also help you with Azure.

If you are a Partner of Record, then this is true.

If you become a managed partner, then you are the reseller, and the client pays you.

I was never able to sign up via Microsoft. Claims that I am not a partner while at the same time congratulating me on my Action Pack purchase.

For years everytime I try to renew my action pack I always have some kind of problem. Something about my account is f'd and M$ has never fixed it despite repeated requests.

Screw them.

Ditto this. I was a partner consultant that setup about 2 dozen companies with O365. Their partnership/action packs are an atrocious paint to navigate an understand. And at some point my partnership got split into two and i lost my partner of record for over a dozen companies. I can't explain it and don't really care anymore. I can still help those companies with O365 when they need it other ways.

In the meantime I've recently signed up with app river and while also semi confusing, it is far easier.
