I have already sorted many of my Technibble subscriptions into folders but I still have a couple of hundred threads to go.
I am finding that the process of adding folders and moving the threads into them to be very slow.
All suggestions as to how to speed-up this process are appreciated.
Thank you in advance.

Same thing here. I just carefully sort my stuff in to folders like you . Lol

What set of steps have you found to be the most efficient? (serious question).
I mean, are you looking at the first thread, creating a folder if necessary, moving the thread to the folder, then moving to the next thread.
or
Locating all the threads on page 1 for a certain topic, creating a folder if necessary and then moving all the threads to that folder. That will then display additional threads at the bottom (one for each moved thread).
Proceed to page 2 for the same folder, etc.

I subscribe to technibble RSS feed in Google Reader where I can star it if I find it interesting so it automatically goes to my starred folder.

If I need to find something I remember reading a while ago I use the built in search function. One down side is the search operators are pretty limited in Google Reader so can involve a bit of scrolling on the results page to find what I am looking for but the star helps the article stand out. It also only shows the first post of the thread and you need to click through to see the rest. So does not work off-line but does work on my mobile device which I have with me on call outs.

To be fair it is probably not any quicker than your folder system more of an alternative way of doing it.

I would love to see an internal bookmarking system in TN, whereas you can bookmark a specific post without having to keep and scroll through the whole thread.

I might be missing something here but why not just use the search function on the forum website?
Let us take a hypothetical example:
Let's say that there are 1,000 threads that have either the word 'virus' or 'malware' or 'rootkit', etc in them.
Of these 1,000 - I am only 'interested' in following (and categorizing) 7 threads.
In my example, I would categorize 3 as 'manual removal' and 4 as 'removal using scanners'.
I do not want to spend the time looking through the other 993 threads every time i want to find one of my important threads or have to think about which of the many keywords I have to search for in order to find a particular thread.
The usage is similar to Outlook Folders or Google Labels.

Ok, I gotcha. Makes perfect sense. Thanks!
