I saw on a Techs site for remote repair on a BSOD, how can you do that? I suppose you have to get into safe mode?
Some BSODs will occur even in Safe Mode (think about ram and hard drive errors).
Any site claiming they can fix any BSOD remotely is full of it. The best they can do is get to the Event Viewer quick enough to diagnose it.
I thought so.
One cannot fix bad RAM or replace a bad hard drive remotely.
Wouldn't it be good if you could.![]()
that might be an idea. build a winpe or linux live cd with team viewer on it, and store all of your special sauce tools(memtest, spinrite, etc) in an encrypted file. and bombard your city with them ala AOL cds.
distributing them would be the real problem.
although certainly i would give one to each customer. as a if it hits the fan put in this disk and call me.

I've talked many clients through fixing BSOD on their side, depends on the error and the troubleshooting involved.
Sometimes it's just as easy as unplugging all the cords and letting the computer rest for 10 minutes.
