Eventually I will do a complete redesign on my site, but for now I did a quick cleanup of the home page after the recent thread about using rotating images on your home page being the bane of visitors anywhere. Plus that, it's always nice to change things up a little.

Not anything too terribly awesome. Consolidated the little wells to 2 rows of 3 instead of 3 rows of 2, made them more vector-looking as well as using vector-style icons and eliminating the buttons completely. Got rid of the rotating hero (bye bye little baby image :( ) and replaced with a nice, but simple call-to-duty unit. Just thought I'd share. Welcome to 5am and me still being up. haha

EDIT: I like the icons. I think the image is a good one as well and the text goes with the new theme. I have this thing against a giant image taking up so much space though. Usually it bothers me more but I think it works quite well on your site.

That baby frightened me anyway... I had a distinct feeling from that child that they were plotting the utter destruction of the squirrel community with vastly oversized potatoes... It was in the eyes... RUN SQUIRREL FRIENDS!!!

Oh, and the site looks good too... :)

(I should probably refrain from watching Invader Zim before bed...)

Looks really good. Though I'd put some color in those icons so they shouldn't look so bland. But that's just me...

@Eric: I LOVE Invader Zim! lol

@tek9: I tend to use icons to enhance a page instead of detract. Personal choice, I guess. If you poke around the site I use them very sparingly but without them the site looks kind of bland. lol So on the homepage I have a huge image so I balance it with muted icon colors. It also focuses the eye up to the colored navbar at the top. ;)

Looks decent. The only thing that bugs me is that your image doesn't fill out the width of the layout. It doesn't "flow", doesn't seem like it belongs there.

ooooh ok. So you just made a hiearchy of sub pages, kept them hidden, and had the buttons point to the necessary page. very clever.. im going to copy that if you don't mind. Except im going to impliment it a little differently

Actually it's a programmed script that has an initial start value and looks up entries in a database for the next value given from the input selected and creates the page with the content... But that will work, too. lol
