Great, the county just called us (automated call thingy) and said to be home by 6pm and to expect snow removal in many areas to take several days at least.
Well, I guess this gives me an opportunity to catch up on my drinking....
We've been pretty dead today besides a few remote appointments we already had scheduled. We are expecting close to 2 feet of snow! Already anticipating being closed tomorrow. Just got word they closed the schools for both Tuesday and Wednesday!
It's a good thing I just restocked the liquor cabinet.
Now I remember why I moved away from N.Y. Of course moving to the Cape Fear, with the Hurricanes & Tropical storms seems like "out of the frying pan & into the fire"
I remember when I was 5, I lived in North Carolina, and that year, we got like a foot of snow one day. Next day was in the 60's. Dad said there were people in swimsuits playing in the snow.
Well I live in the Texas Panhandle 2 times in my life I have seen 2 ft snows up here since the 70's and in the 50's we had snow storms up here the National Guard flew in supplies and air dropped them in back in 56 and 57.
