help memory stick keeps ejecting itself

Everytime I use my memorystick after a while it just ejects itself anyone any ideas strange

scanned for viruses and even formatted it, Its a usb memory stick

on Apple mac and yeah have looked on those sites. Thought you guys would be willing to help, yeah was vague to start with sorry.

Could you provide more infomation on what the problem is, like what have you done to diagnose the problem, by memorystick do you mean USB pen drive, SD card, e.t.c, come on we are not mind readers.

Can you rule out the following:

Bad Stick: Try mem stick on another computer.. Does it work fine?

Bad Computer: Try another mem stick on your computer .. Does it work fine?

.. And then go from there

USB contacts could be bad....there could be some data rot on the memory itself....drivers could be corrupt....uh, those are all possible but uncommon things that might happen.
