So, I don't usually do much with iPhones and iPads aside from setup and restoring. I need some advice on the following situation:
A client who is going through a sticky divorce has an iPad and an iPhone. She had recorded something incriminating on her iPad back in May. In early July, her husband used her iCloud account to lock both devices, and she says that he wiped them.
She is asking me to try to retrieve the audio file from the iPad and any text messages that may be on it or her iPhone.
From what I could see, the iPad has 3 iCloud backups -- all from this week. Is there any way to look for the audio file she made if there is no older backup?
The iPhone has a local backup (from before her husband's lock and wipe) through iTunes on her Windows 10 laptop. I do not have the iPhone to restore the backup to it. Is there another way to extract the backup files and look for SMS files in the relevant date range?
