Hi Guys,
It's been a while since I've run in to a problem that I needed to ask the community about. I hope all of you are doing well and enjoying yourselves. I'm sure frustrated and I'm hoping one of you guys can stop me from pulling my hair out here. I was working on a system that a customer brought in that had a failed drive in a windows 7 software raid 1. I booted the system from the secondary plex and all booted normally, after booting I installed a new hard drive and selected the "add mirror" and chose disk 1 (the new drive) as the drive to mirror to. During the synchronization process the system mentioned having to use bc edit to modify something but I have since forgotten what it mentioned. (I've been tired and stressed)
Anyway, after attempting to boot on drive 1 I get the "disk boot failure insert system disk and press enter"
When I try to attempt to boot to drive 0 I get " \boot\BCD
status: 0xc000098
The windows boot configuration data file does not contain a valid OS entry. I am familiar with repairing that using the tools on the recovery environment, something tells me however the problem is related to that message about using bcedit. Can someone possibly point me in the right direction here?
Not really sure why after mirror the main drive would have become unbootable.
Thank you,
Dan
