Hitachi's Drive Fitness Test drivers are not compatible with the 64-bit Windows 7 computers I've tried to boot it with. What's another boot disc software that I should be using instead?

FYI. Windows 7, 64-bit or not, has nothing to do with it. It's the controller that isn't supported, nothing more. It'd work if you switch to IDE mode, if available, then switch back when done testing.

Having said that, I use Eurosoft PC Check. I like it a lot, although it is a paid product.

Could you not just download the Ultimate Boot CD from the link further down the link's page? It has gsmartcontrol on it.

You can also download parted magic which will have gsmartcontrol and a bunch of other great tools.

Parted Magic is amazing! I had always heard of it and read a little bit about it here and there but last week I ran into some issues on a PC and decided to use it. It really is an awesome tool to have around. I was surprised at how smooth it ran and all of the different tools that come with it.
