no fan chasiss...need some advice...i have cleaned the cpu & its fan...check the cmos battery, the memory.....

Did you try another hardware monitor. Like the ASUS PC probe software to confirm your error. If your chassis fan uses a standard dongle its not going to show up in hardware monitor. IF you want it to show up you need a 3-4 wire connector. it connects to the port on your mobo called. SYS_FAN etc.

Usually your mobo is not much warmer (idealy lower) then your CPU. Unless the thermal paste was removed on your north bridge etc.

Check the PC health in BIOS and use ASUS PC PROBE.

...need some advice..

Well, how about telling us if there is a real problem?. I mean is it just that HWM is giving you a high temp warning or is the machine really doing something bad?.

The CPU is high, but not terribly high, do you have another fan?. Do you know if 2700rpm is normal for that fan?.

Are you a tech or an end user?

reply to my seniors

HWM always displays during post screen thats what i am trying to get rid of...i am trying to find out on whats the cause...i guess, i'll try to change the CPU and check if something will do right...i'll inform you for some development...no, i am not an end user...but i am not also a certified computer technician.. .but i work as an assistant computer technician and i am currently studying comp tech... thats why i need some advice,idea, tips from you my seniors in technibble...God bless...

Take a screen shot and post it here. I have no idea what your talking about. I understand your are in the Philippines. A picture will help. I don't think anyone really understands your request.

Those cpu temps seem even higher to me if it is occuring during post before the system is under any real load. Have you tried disabling the bios hardware monitor - it might be possible to disable the warnings at least. I'd consider checking all the fans and cleaning them, including the one in the PSU and make sure they are all spinning properly. Have you tried any software based hardware monitoring? I would check/clean the heatsink as well. See if you can move some fans around in the case and optimize it for increased air flow. Just my 2 cents anyways.

change MB

we have no choice, but to change the motherboard... we have already tried changing the CPU, change the fans, change the power supply...but it still HWM error...anyway, thanks for the advice...thanks also for the barbecue...hehehe..God bless..but i'll try to post some of the pics..

Did you seriously swap the motherboard because of this....????

swap

we have not done it yet but we will try to...don't worry, we have lots of older motherboards here...:)(if we can't solve this one...) no pics yet, because we were busy lifting some of the defective pc's to our storage room..God bless...

I think I would try a bios update first and an infrared thermometer to confirm the temp reading. Trusting the bios for a thermal reading without confirming it with something else is not a good idea.

I am very confused here. What is the problem? What processor do you have? On the old P4s and some Athlon XPs 54c was actually quite good.

I really don't get what the problem is. You probably just need to get rid of the dust in the CPU fan.

Edit for that processor 54c is not high they did run stupidly hot! Buy a better heatsink if you're worried about it.

He doesn't either, and there lies the real problem. People are trying to help him, but he seems to ignore their questions/comments.

I'm sorry i was not able to reply to your comments & suggestions... I only have internet connection at the institution i am working with... that is why i was not able to reply immediately to your questions... i do not have internet connection at our house...

@joy
the problem is, when the pc shows POST screen, HWM error always appear, that is the problem...the user does not want that to appear again...

@angry geek
we don't have infrared thermometer that could measure MB temp...
but, i will show of the pics...i will try to upload the pics this day...God bless...thanks...

is there a possibility, that this board will be back to normal if it will not be used for a while? i mean the temperature of the MB will be back to normal...because i tried to switch on the pc and the HWM error did not showed up...but we will just test it first before we go into conclusion...thanks...god bless...

Resu...

after the motherboard had rest for 3 days, it's temperature goes back to normal...i don't know how & why... i guess, we will just try to make use of it until it will give up... thanks & God bless...

Problems don't go away just because you don't do anything with it. The final result may be gone but the initial cause is very likely still there. I don't have the knowledge of my esteemed forum members but you may want to follow their advice, I have and it’s always lead me to the right place.

I know why. It's called the Law of Thermal Dynamics. If you don't apply heat to something for three days it won't be hot.
