A while ago, I built up a Windows 7 PC to act as my NAS / Media Server; I run Plex.

PC has an i5, 12GB RAM, soon going to clone the C: to an SSD.

If I installed a dedicated graphics card, would that improve Plex performance in any way? The NAS runs headless; there is no monitor attached to it.

Thanks!

^^^ From what I have read using GPU's to improve performance requires special coding. They are generally used in specialized environments that involve some really heavy lifting, such as bitcoin mining and other computationally intensive processes.
