Google results are in chinese

Client pc, badly infected. I've removed a good bit already, still going for more. Odd thing that I have noticed is that all Google search results are in Chinese. I.E. & Firefox, makes no difference.

At first I thought that maybe it was because I was searching for security related programs, but even terms like "bike" or "skateboard" return with Chinese language results.

BTW, this pc is/was running an up to date version of Norton Security Suite.

Anyone come across this before? Ideas on the Chinese search results?

Seriously, though, I had to figure this out when I was in China this summer.
If the browsers are logged into a google account, you need to clear the cookies and change the language here http://www.google.com/preferences#languages

Is it possible that the customer actually wants google in Chinese?

LOL - funny.

I had done some prev. research on this, but found little to correct it. I can't get to any settings pages in English. I can't even get to a sign in page that will display in English.

This thing is "stuck" in 哈哈哈！学习读中文！ and I can't get free of it.

Edit - No, this person only wants English results.

Otherwise...maybe check the hosts file? Google.com.hk and google.com have different IP's.

You've cleared the cookies, completely, yeah?

Oh, and checked proxies, maybe? Just a shot in the dark...
