I'm a bit confused and am just beginning to sort out the details. Google Drive is no longer. Backup and Sync will not work with group sharing and Stream takes everything from the cloud (no local storage unless manually handled) so my low-bandwidth SOHO clients that relied on the constant trickle of Google Drive's background updating seem to be screwed for their file sharing.

I have to read and trial a bit more.......

Hmmm.... Seems standard file/folder sharing is retained in Backup and Sync and it is Team (ownerless) file and folder sharing that is affected. It's another one of those Google transitions that is not well understood and fuzzy around the edges....)
