A client made a Gmail account for her brother with Alzheimer’s so she could handle his affairs she had to use her cell number he does not have one now when she tries to get another Gmail for herself instead of the new Gmail she created its linked back to him with his Gmail address how can I correct this the only account she can get into is his so any changes would refer to him. The first thing we did was to remove his account, but that did not help every time she tries to get a new one it’s him.
No phone support for free accounts

I know if I would have used a different number it would be problem solved, but she does not want to have a different number when all her friends know it also Google won't let you use a landline phone anymore.
I don't know if you have Telus ISP in Ontario they are moving everybody to Google

Thanks

Any particular reason why wants Gmail? I just setup a placeholder email on outlook.com and I don't think I had to provide a phone number. Just another email address. Doesn't Gmail allow an email instead of a cell?

Thanks for the replies I contacted her ISP that is moving everybody over to Gmail March 24 he said after an hour it was sorted
Last time I tried for a friend it wanted a Cell number would not accept a landline

I've created a new Google (Gmail) account during the last 4 months and I was not required to have a phone number to do so. The option to associate one was given, but not required.
