Gmail is suffering its second outage in 24 hours, with users able to access their email but unable to send to other Gmail users or are experiencing unexpected behavior.

In BleepingComputer's tests, when sending an email to a Gmail (gmail.com) address, you will get an immediate delivery failure message, stating "Address not found."

The full error message that people are receiving is shown below.

550 5.1.1 The email account that you tried to reach does not exist. Please try double-checking the recipient's email address for typos or unnecessary spaces. Learn more at https://support.google.com/mail/?p=NoSuchUser

However, sending emails to GSuite customers who use custom domains is not having any problems.

I havent had any issue yesterday/today with my personal GMail account, but was hit on Monday on both personal and GSuite accounts.

My phone won't shut up about this... not that I have any clients using gmail, but they're trying to email people that are and getting the bounce.

Luckily this is not the case for myself, but I have to wonder if "these people" (whoever they may be) live under a rock and never look at the mainstream press outlets, be that radio, television, or print (or cyber equivalent) when they notice a "really odd situation" with a major service provider.

This was reported, and reported, and reported, and reported and not only in the obscure tech press.

Were I in your situation I'd probably update my outgoing announcement on voicemail and let everything go to it. I'll bet the number of hang up calls would be much higher than average after they've heard that, "You are not alone and millions are having Gmail issues right now."

@britechguy Those that are calling me are MSP customers looking for confirmation and continuous updates. It's not the most efficient thing, but it's part of my job. The news media is suspect at best when reporting on any scientific discipline, this is no exception. Usually it's not that big of a deal because it happens, and then it's over... but Google has had ongoing issues for a couple days now.

It finally started to quiet down this afternoon. So there's that.
