I have a client who has an assistant that has full access to his email through M365. The assistant needs access to my clients ToDo list as well. However I dont see a way to share the to-do list. Is this possible?

I tried this recently and it's pretty crappy. I referred them to Teams/"List app", pretty easy and works good on all devices.

or use Tasks and then share those, doesn't work great on OWA.

Pin it to Teams...makes it easy peasy for people to get to.
Microsoft "Tasks by Planner and To Do App"....clients love it. We use it too for projects such as migrations...we make a Team per migration for a client....track/assign stuff there, documentation, etc.

So would I make a Team that only the Boss (the person who wants to share a todo list) and his assistant have access to?
Neither of these people use Teams or Outlook the application. Both primarily use OWA.

Yeah, use Planner. I guess it's called Tasks now. ToDo is for personal items, and Planner will list those items too, but it provides a means for groups to share a todo list, as well as for managers to assign tasks.

Planner has its own web app too.

One of the many reasons to get clients on Teams...
Yeah you can get to them via web also (www.office.com)...

But when you pin it in Teams...it sorta rolls up Planner and To Do into that one app I show in the screenie above. As Rob mentioned....To Do as a stand alone app shows you YOUR stuff. Planner is on a Team or Group wide scale...the whole picture.
....and then there's the original "Lists" from the older Sharepoint days....just to throw more confusion in the list....

They have teams but no one uses it. I setup teams for the different divisions in the office for file sharing, but other than a shortcut to the shared files on their desktop no one uses the teams app or web interface. They use Slack for inter-office communication.
