Getting lots of coolmax power supply failures

Must be horrible quality getting lots of them failing i do not buy anything but certified bronze 80 and above.
They are from another shop in town they end up at my shop guy claims power supply is ok after running CS:GO it shuts down you cannot hit power button and get it to boot thus bad power supply.
I switch out the power supply in front of customer and games work fine and don't shut down.

First part is very likely but not guaranteed (something could have triggered the built in voltage protections) but as long as you swapped it out with a different psu and couldn't duplicate the issue then yeah almost guaranteed to be psu at that point.

Actually 80 Plus "white" are also OK, as a slightly cheaper option. The actual efficiency level isn't much lower so doesn't make much difference, and the certification still indicates that the claimed wattage is correct, and features like over current protection are present.

I currently use Corsair VS450 with white certification as a general purpose repair option for basic PCs.
