Free Web based invoice and billing

I haven't used that, but I use something similar. I've been using Intuit's Billing Manager (https://billingmanager.intuit.com) which is also free. You can't accept credit cards through the service (unless you sign up with theirs and pay), but it sends pdf invoices to clients and you can customize the e-mail messages. I have a credit card payment section on my website and I also use Square for the iPhone for on the spot CC payments. It's been working out great.

I'll need to check out billing boss, the fact that it accepts PayPal payments alone is worth looking into :)

I just signed up to check it out...I already use Invoice2Go which also offers the ability to accept paypal. Doesn't look any better or worse, however invoice2go has an iphone app that works great!

I use Simplifythis.com and have been very happy with it. It costs about $10 a month but its a great service. Its very reliable and if you have a problem they jump on it quick.

I did a quick look-see but did not see any of them do bank deposits

Hi
In order to move away from QBs we have moved to our own billing online 'system'--it is not complete as of yet but it does allow counter and repair staff to create and maintain a customer, order and sales data base, prepare invoices and take in payments. Each invoice produces an email with all data that we currently use to input to QBKs. My next step is to enter and use it for recurring bills and then to prepare bank deposits. It now accumulates sales reports for me and it is tailored to my shop.
However I do not have a ton of money tied up in it and I am always looking for billing system ideas and alternatives.
I am usually wary of free stuff as someone/something has to pay the bills and, once the free product is used for a while the bait has been set.....QBKs is hot on this idea....IMHO.

I don't need all QBKs has to offer and don't like having to bounce through their server to send PDF invoices. I also envision moving from my current use of ACT for contact management and was happy to see the Sage product.

However, at this point in time, the price of QBKs seems to be hard to beat--for now!

I already appreciate this forum.
Thanks
Joe

I just start with QBO, there is a monthly fee but I'm happy with it so far..I just wonder about the security and reliability of the free stuff.

I wonder is there any kind of research, comparison chart or feature/price matrix for popular billing systems available on the market?

There's some great info in here. I just recently was trying to find a way to do recurring invoicing. I currently use "Memorized Transaction" in Quickbooks. But it sucks because I still have to open quickbooks everyday and let it create the invoices... then I have to submit the emails. So I recently signed up for the quickbooks online. Sounds great... but it is so expensive. I am going to look into the options posted in this thread.

Thanks! :D

I original thought it was expense, but when I looked at what I was getting-peace of mind of security, no backup to worry about and great accounting and invoicing I thought it was worth the $39.95, so I will just skip a couple of cheeseburgers and have a ham sandwich from home, that should make up for the price, and it's healthier.
