Seeing if anyone knows or has a SMTP relay i can use. Setting up this program called PING monitor Found here https://emcosoftware.com/ping-monitor

not going to be running it long just a few days. monitoring 5 host's. looking to see what kind of details i can find out or potential issues. It has an option to email the detailed reports. Tried using gmails smtp server. Even allowed less secure apps. Didn't work. Any ideas? I know there are some cheap smtp relay providers, might just have to buy a package. Seen some like 6000 but i won't use no where close to that. maybe like 10 or 20 max.

Suggestions?

Was totally going to flag this as spam. Account with no avatar, asking how to do something but also providing a link to some software. Very typical of backlink spam.

Until I checked the profile. Member since 2009 with 244 messages. Maybe not :)

Haha, yeah, also asking for use of a private SMTP server!

not spam, i was super tired alot going on. setting this up. Realized i disabled the "allow less secure apps" on my other gmail instead of the one i was entering. But yea the software is working good. I set it to monitor 2 AP's, a managed switch the gateway and the main POS system. I am seeing that 1 AP is disconnecting alot. So its helping to isolate the issue

also added avatar, for future use lol. Been around on this site for awhile, mostly reading.

Update just in case anyone is interested in what this software actually found for me. Notified me that this 1 AP (AP ENS500) was dropping, which in turn caused the main POS system to drop twice. Going to let it run again for tonight dinner rush and see if the results are the same. and close to the same time frame. Here is the detailed PDF that it emailed me.

If you had Ubuquiti, you could use the cloudkey. :D
Thats the plan, The guy who installed this wifi network, didn't do a good job, i got the floor plans today for it. Its over 10,000sq, extremely high traffic, So i am replacing it all with Unifi. But instead of guessing, i want to see what is actually dropping. They are paying for 300Mbps i think its over kill. They did that in desperation, waitress's IPads are dropping during peak hours to the POS system which is cloud hosted. They are paying for another dedicated line just for Pandora. Going to let this run another night, compare. Then use Netspot to map out the area. I am thinking USG, with cloud key, 16 port POE Switch, 3 maybe 4 UNIFI AC PRO's, He wants to expand aswell. So... maybe going overkill on this is a good thing.

Here is a digital image of the floor plan, couldn't upload here to large, https://imgur.com/a/84PqI

the ceiling is high, Kitchen there is a lot of metal, Walls.. there are a lot of them, no brick. Sits right on the water front. He wants to extend wifi to boats that pull up aswell. Here is a rough sketch up of an idea i had.
