Also Google+ has this feature to upload to picassa, I found it very handy but dropbox would be better

If you've already got a Dropbox account, then you just need to install the new beta client which enables automatic uploading of photos & videos. Then you go through the process of automatic uploading via Autoplay and you get an increase equivalent to the amount you've uploaded. Up to a max of 5GB, I only managed to get 4.5GB though.

I assume I should be able to uninstall the beta once I've got my new quota, and pop the old one back on.

I did it by dumping a load videos/photos onto a memory stick and kick starting the autorun to upload to Dropbox.

Me too. This is the easiest way. You don't need a camera / phone or a memory card to get this 5 GB.

I took a couple large dummy files (total equaling 5gb), renamed them to .mov on a USB stick then did the auto play upload to dropbox feature. Worked great!

Great idea! I just let my iphone record a video for about 30 min then plugged it in.

I renamed a couple of *.iso's to .mov and used a usb drive + autorun to do the trick.

I was actually only getting an extra 4.5GB.

SO, upgraded to the latest beta this morning, which didn't seem to make much difference. So thought I'd upload another >500MB which also didn't seem to do much.

So I renamed the "Camera Uploads" folder and then killed DropBox, renamed it back again, restarted DropBox and it's bumped me up another 500MB

Hmmm wonder if it'll work again...

use nero to make a 500mb iso of pictures then virtual clone drive to mount the iso, right click and hit auto play.... worked like a charm
