Force Windows 10 Anniversary Build

Yes indeed the other option is to go to the update section and in there you will see "looking for the latest updates?" and under that is a link: "learn more"
This directs you to the same URL you posted.... wonder when the update will show up automatically... Microsoft I think it's slowly pushing the update but not so much that they bog down there servers.

Tried the link earlier on a machine and it wouldnt download the update for the life of me. It kept stalling at the download portion and giving me a 0x80190001.

I ended up just using the Media Creation Tool and that worked.

You should have Windows 10 install media (USB/DVD) made using the Media Creation Tool. This allows you to upgrade any computer (Home and Pro) to the anniversary update while keeping apps and data, and allows clean installs as well. There is even an option to include 32-bit and 64-bit installers in the one USB (or dual layer DVD).

Yep. Just use the media creation tool to create the dual bootable usb. That's what I have, very handy and you can run the setup directly off the stick to do the upgrade to an existing system.

Just had a customer with a 2 month old Lenovo X1 Tablet that it applied the update last night without even asking him. Logicnow/Maxfocus didn't even show the update as available or even applied. The machine would boot to a black screen with nothing on it. I was able to remote into it with Teamviewer just fine while I actually had the PC in the shop and on the laptop it showed just the lenovo logo with black background. Lenovo had a fix for this that I had to change the startup to UEFI and Legacy instead of just UEFI. After I rebooted the computer it worked fine.
